Affiliate Resources

Affiliate Resources are available for our clubs to facilitate open collaboration with other clubs, groups, and programs across the state. Together, we can further our mission of leaving amateur radio better than we found it!

Leadership Development

We have been diligently working to introduce a groundbreaking program in the Volunteer State! Our Leadership Development series is designed to empower club leaders to better serve their clubs and communities. This four-session series is filled with innovative ideas and resources, providing leaders from across the state the opportunity to collaborate on various topics that can strengthen their clubs and further the mission of improving amateur radio in every community.

Tennessee Amateur Communications System

The Association has been enhancing our digital and analog interoperability system, also known as TACS. This open analog and digital mode system is available to all our affiliate clubs for testing, tuning, and even hosting nets or other exercises to facilitate communication across various modes.

Repeater Site Safety

It's Wildfire Season in the Volunteer State! Are your repeater sites prepared to withstand a potential fire? Many repeater sites in our state are located in remote wooded areas. Ensure that your site and tower are adequately protected. We strongly recommend that buildings and towers have defensible space or a buffer from fuels that could allow flames to reach them.

Setting the Standard for Collaboration

We are dedicated to setting the standard and building the infrastructure for association and club collaboration to maximize benefits for all. When all players are committed to working together for improvement, everyone wins. As we move into 2026, the association is dedicated to completing a closed network for club leadership to communicate and collaborate effectively. This platform will allow members to enhance their working relationships, share ideas, and exchange information seamlessly in one space where everyone shares the same mindset. The association will host this network and conduct quarterly conference calls and meetings, both in person and virtually, to encourage participation and explore the possibilities of collaborative efforts. Together, we can build a collective voice for our memberships and the remarkable amateurs who call the Volunteer State home.

The Connect application for upgraded clubs makes it easy to discover their events, nets, and repeaters. We host this service to provide amateur radio enthusiasts with a centralized location for the most accurate and up-to-date information. Submitting details is straightforward, and you can edit your submissions anytime as needed. This empowers clubs and puts them in control!

Our statewide network averages 30-50 check-ins every week with amateurs from across the state and beyond. We make announcements about various topics, but we also want to dedicate time to highlighting our upgraded clubs! This provides a platform for easy information sharing with many. Please send us your announcements with all the details, and we will ensure they are shared on the net!

We are developing an innovative service for our upgraded affiliate clubs that will empower them to collaborate and create a network with club leadership, enabling the sharing of resources and strengthening each other’s clubs.

The association has been actively exploring more opportunities for amateurs to engage. From our Simplex Saturday VHF/UHF initiative to our Statewide Repeater Net and now our monthly HF Net, we aim to involve our affiliate clubs in expanding our on-air presence.
