The Tennessee Amateur Radio Association (TARA) is excited to be given a new opportunity with the W5YI Licensing Services, a leading nationwide Volunteer Examiner Coordinator. We have been allowed to be part of an incredible initiative to help more young people join the world of amateur radio.
We are proud to announce that our Volunteer Examiner (VE) team is now approved to offer free exams for all 3 exam elements to all students, ages 25 & under. And the benefits don't stop there. W5YI is also generously covering the FCC license application fees for students under 25!
This is a unique chance to earn your ham radio license completely free of charge. Simply bring your valid student ID to one of our testing sessions.
We are honored to be a part of this amazing program, which directly aligns with our mission to make amateur radio more accessible to the next generation. This collaboration with W5YI is a testament to our shared commitment to removing financial barriers and fostering the growth of our hobby.
